Securing such document is as simple as its definition. Below is the process of applying for a clearance in our Baranggay (Sto. Niño, Marikina). Methods may vary among Barangays and some slight differences may be observed from the ones listed below.
- Go to your town's hall or commonly known as baranggay hall. You have to go personally and you need to be a resident of that community for at least 6 months.
- Enter the office where they process this document. In our town hall, it is the first door in the left.
- You will be asked for a Cedula or community tax. You may get your cedula from the city hall but most baranggay halls process them too.
- If you dont have a cedula, fill up the form and pay for your tax (depends on your earnings). They have a formula for calculating this and its a little complicated but for an unemployed like me(the time when I was writing this), I paid less than Php30.
- Remember, cedulas are good for the year it was made. You may use it all month of that year only.
- You will then be asked for valid identication cards. If none, you will need to provide a billing statement or any document that certifies your residency. Click here for more info: How do I apply for Baranggay Clearance: Sto. Niño
- Then, your photo will be captured on the next window.
- Pay for the processing fee at the cashier. (In our baranggay hall, you have to enter to the other door, and pay PHP 25 only). Wait for the form to be printed.
